Let the Wild Rumpus Start!

The night Max put on his wolf suit and made mischief of one kind

And another

And when he came to the place Where The Wild Things Are

they roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth

and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws

And Max said "BE STILL"

and tamed them with the magic trick

of staring into their yellow eyes without blinking once

and they were frightened and called him the most wild thing of them all

And made him king of where the wild things are

"And now" cried Max "LET THE WILD RUMPUS START!"

"Oh please don't go, I'll eat you up I love you so!"

This year for Halloween we went as characters from our favorite book Where The Wild Things Are! OK...So maybe it's my favorite book, max isn't too into books yet. This book was partially why we named him Max, and I was so excited to do this costume idea! I had so much fun making the costumes and even more fun with all our halloween activities! Max wanted to wear his costume all weekend, and that was fine by me! I can't take all the credit for making the costumes though, I bought Max's costume on Amazon but sewed a zipper in it because he was ripping it off with the velcro it came with. I also bout our furry hats on Amazon but made a sewed all the felt details and horns on myself! I think they came out pretty dang good.

We had planed on trick or treating but the weather had other plans and it started raining as soon as we got all the little kiddos together to go out. Halloween is also Kevin's birthday so we were fine hanging inside eating some apple pie and watching cartoons. Besides, San Francisco doesn't do Halloween right! I am used to trick or treaters out all night and every house decorated where I grew up. Here it seems hardly anyone gets into it. Bummer! We still had tons of fun.
